MIDI Reactive Visualizer

Interactive Experience Made for Create-It Studios
Delivered To Client: May 2025

  • Unreal Engine 5 Ableton Live Blueprints Level Design
  • Created interactive visual elements using meshes, materials, and particle systems that react to MIDI notes played through a MIDI keyboard or MIDI pattern.
  • Set up the workflow between Ableton Live and Unreal Engine 5 using MIDI and OSC, allowing note information from Ableton to control different visual elements.
  • Modified Zack Berwick's Unreal Engine Interactive 3D Visualizer Template to fit the needs of the project and prepared the experience to be used their opening event.
  • Rapidly developed the interactive visualizer and later adapted the project as a learning experience for students to create their own audio-reactive visualizers.

  • Created unique sound effects for the toy-like appearance of each tank.
  • Implemented audio assets while verifying the replication of the gameplay sounds.
  • Providing help with UI prototypes and testing gameplay in multiplayer sessions.

Bird Watch: Central Park

  • Unreal Engine 5 FL Studio Blueprints Sound Design Music Production
  • Implemented audio assets with sound cues, attenuations, and blueprint systems.
  • Sourced authentic recordings of bird sounds from the Macaulay Library by Cornell Lab of Ornithology, as well as modified them to create multiple short cues and remove unwanted background noise. Additionally, I recorded various objects and modified them to accomplish the intended sounds.
  • Composed and produced the music for the original soundtrack.

  • Created audio and pixel art assets for the retro arcade aesthetic.
